Dinosaurs Invade the Hunterdon Art Museum
Help build a giant dinosaur on the terrace of the Hunterdon Art Museum on September 13 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the next Katherine Trubek Sundays on the Terrace event.
The Trubek Sundays on the Terrace series is free and welcomes everyone to participate in a community art project. Families can spend the afternoon or just a short while helping create art.
For Dinosaur Day, participants will paint pre-cut wooden boards in various styles such as expressionism or impressionism before assembling them to create a large stegosaurus.
On Oct. 4, the final Trubek event of 2015, the Museum will invite everyone to make a giant sculpture out of food cans. The Museum is currently accepting canned food donations in its lobby. Following the event, the canned food will be donated to area food banks.
For more information on either Katherine Trubek Sundays on the Terrace event, please visit www.hunterdonartmuseum.org or call 908-735-8415.
The series was created to honor Katherine Trubek (1904-1991), an artist found of the Hunterdon Art Museum and is supported with a gift from the Trubek Family.
